    R13 Subledger Accounting Rules

    I am curious if anyone else uses Subledger Accounting Rules in a Financial module and has tried to update them since R13 upgrade? I made an update to our rules this week and now we are unable to activate them or run Create Accounting in AR. We have an SR open and a Bug has been logged, but wondering if anyone has made a change successfully. If you have rules in place I would suggest through testing before you attempt any modification in production. Bug for reference - 28301426.

    Oracle has acknowledged a bug introduced by a code change in R13. If you need to make any changes to your SLA rules they may fail SLAM due to a bad piece of new code. The bug only impacts SLA if you make changes to the account rules. If anyone else experiences the issue and has an SR # they want to share I can share with our contact to get proper help for the problem.

    Logan,

    Accounting has manual entries prepared to accrue if necessary. Really hoping to not have to go that route as the manual effort involved to reverse and reconcile later is unnecessary stress on that team.

    understandable, we do see other clients experiencing the same
    issues, intermittently though.

    Are you unable to
    post manual GL entries as a short term workaround?

    I will do that, appreciate the suggestion. We are unable to close our quarter or post anything to AR, so my stress level has gotten pretty high over here.

    Hi Jason:

    One suggestion, use the idea's area of Cloud Customer Connect to
    post this for conversation and we can work to get the votes up to
    have Oracle recognize this as an issue. We can navigate the SIG
    group members over there as well.

    If anyone else is having this issue could you please log an SR. Support is indicating that our rules are too complicated and we should change them, but they worked up until R13 upgrade. It would greatly help the case if other companies logged SRs indicating the same issue with SLAM.

    The bug was logged today, it took three days to convince support it was not a problem with our rules. It is logged as P1, we are unfortunately not able to close our quarter for AR as we cannot record anything to GL from AR. Bug # is 28301426.

    Hi Jason:

    We’ve seen nearly the exact same behavior across
    AR, AP, CM and FA. How long ago was your bug logged?
