JD Edwards One Click Provisioning issue?
Hello all ,
Have you experience any difficulties while trying to deploy JD Edwards ERP on Oracle IaaS (OCI classic) by using the ONE click provisioning ?
Note that we did not used Database as a service but the Oracle Std edition that comes complementary with JDE.
Thank you
Brgds
We did not get any short of commitment from Oracle ….They say they are working on various directions to improve the offering but did not provide any time frame . We deployed manually JDE in OCI classic as the One-Click provisioning Tool could not establish a live JDE instance so far . Many thx!
Did they tell you it would be ready in three months? Because that is the OCI go to. "Things are changing so fast…" Good luck! Let me know if we can help anytime.
We got the feedback from Oracle that they will improve the product (and maybe reduce the …clicks). In he mean time i will fwd the link to our CNC team to evaluate . Many thx again Mark .
The one click provisioning is about ten million clicks to get to the deploy screen. It would be nice if Oracle Cloud left their offices and saw how the infra is being developed and managed by AWS etc….if you are interested in ( a couple clicks ) provisioning for JDE on AWS, check out what our team put together. I'd be 100 percent interested in any feedback.

Hello Mark, and thank you for the update !
We operate in EMEA .
In our case ,after issuing a couple of SRs through MOS we end up re-installing everything from scratch , without One Click Provisioning , as we could not risk spending more time without solid results.
Note that this one click provisioning automation resulted in 2 weeks of delay .

We experienced many issues with the one click provisioning. What zones are you operating in? What is the CPU utilization? What does the JSON message kick out when you process an orchestration? Long story short you might need Oracle to manually provision your zone / site. Oracle links your zones / sites and it is transparent to the end user.
