HCM Time and Labour vs FSCM Expenses Time Reporting
Hi,
I would like to find out if HCM Time and Labor is necessary to implement just the timesheet solution. Basically, we only have FSCM 9.2, and would like to use PeopleSoft for employee time keeping. We don't have plans for implementing HCM, so are looking into utilizing FSCM Expense module's time reporting functionality to achieve our goals. Based on PeopleBooks, there's no real dependency and Expense can be implemented without the HCM.
I wonder how did organizations that have both HCM and DSCM chosen which timesheet functionality to use? Are they complementary or duplicate? Obviously, HCM would have much more functionality than just timesheet, but if we are not interested in any of that apart from allowing employees to report and approve their time spent, would the Expense functionality just suffice?
