COBOL interactive debugging

Has anyone successfully set up interactive debugging with COBOL in 9.2 PT 8.55 on OracleDB? I was able to get the interactive debugger running, and can walk through the code, however it always crashes when the SQL functions are called to the database. I was wondering if anyone has worked through this issue as I haven't found anything on Oracle support or searching online.
