HIPAA 5010 834 file producing outdated INS*024 segments for rehire employees
One of our HIPAA EDI 5010 834 files is producing outdated term segments (INS024, HD024, DTP*349) for rehire employees that are in their enrollment period but have not completed their benefits enrollment via Ben Admin. The change file is picking up the term row data on the Base Benefit table even if the term was 4 years ago.
Our other 834 file, for a different vendor, produces the same rehire employee as a change with the INS*001 code but without the HD and DTP rows.
Does anyone else experience irrelevent outdated data segments for rehire employees on their 5010 834 files?
In my experience these issues are challengingt o debug.
The delivered EDI 834 File pulls table from the Benefit Snap tables. I would start looking at the following tables:
1. PS_BN_SNAP_PER
2. PS_BN_SNAP_PLAN
3.PS_BN_SNAP_PLAN
What As of Date do you use for BEN100A.sqr for the two 834 files?
One of our 834 files includes plan types 10 and 11 (we have a custom to include additional HD & DTP lines with plan type 11 details) and the other 834 file that I'm having these outdated segments is only plan type 11.
We use the 5010 834 interface and have not had this issue. Are the vendors of the same plan type?
