We currently do not use the function of rejecting time entry. If a correction is needed to time that has already been submitted for approval, we put in negative lines to to back out the incorrect data and then additional lines with the correct information is entered.
I'm looking to see if most users have been using the Reject functionality and what issues if any it brings. Also, if you are using this functionality, do you have any documentation that you'd be willing to share?
Thanks for any and all feedback.
We have been using ESS Timeentry since 1st of this year. We use the reject button as a normal process if the employee makes a mistake. The only issue that we found is that the managers can then delete the timesheet entry even though the processing option on P051125 under the Manager tab specifically says to not allow deletion of rejected timesheets. I had submitted this to Oracle and they submitted a bug. We have not run into any other issues along those line with using the reject. The F06116Z2 table accurately reflects the timecard status as a 2 for rejected timesheets. The batch processor only processes approved records. I think the reject button works fine!
