Automated Utility Meter Reading and Invoicing

Greetings - thought I would kick us off by asking - is anyone doing utility meter billing with automated meter reading and invoicing, and if so, what application are you using and how do you like it?  What is the application name, cost, effort to install, configure and incorporate into monthly processes?  Pros/Cons?

We are using Metasys by Johnson Controls at this time, but are wondering if anyone is doing it via JDE directly, or a 3rd party application, or a 3rd party application loading data into the Z-File process in JDE for the invoicing.

We have both automated meter reading and manual meter reading, of which currently only the automated meters are going into Metasys, and then interfacing over to JDE's Z-File process in AR and getting invoiced through AR.

Would love to find out how others are handling this, and especially those manually read meters, and if/how you might incorporate them into an automated process….

It has been discussed and has the interest of some within the Port.  We haven't acted upon the interest as a project.  I do check the vendors when visiting Collaborate and InFocus.
