I am working with a client whose Workers Compensation rates expired and they ran payroll without knowing it. Has this ever happened to anyone else? How did you handle it? Is there anyway to get Workers Comp to recalculate after they extend the rates or enter new rates? I'm not sure if there's a clever way to have it go retro…?
We have certainly had this issue. Unfortunately we have not found a way to recalculate the WC rates. We are self-insured so the system generated isnt required to be completly accurate thankfully - most of our companies have a created report that calculates the rates based on WC Codes, Rates and Hours without relaying on JDE's calculation. They then update with a JE.
