As per the current design, the first time you open the Watchlists menu, the system will run the queries to update the Watchlists with the most current information FOR EACH USER. This puts a lot of overhead on the instance especially when there are many users with many shared watchlists.
Would like to have an enhancement so that the watchlists will be refreshed on a schedule set by the admin and not when the user clicks on WL flag for the first time. So when any user clicks on the flag or page at any time, it will show the last updated data and user is given the choice to click on the refresh button to get the updated data, if required. This will greatly recude the system overhead.
Please vote for Bug 26377503 : ENHANCEMENT TO REFRESH WATCHLISTS ONLY ON SCHEDULE
I have searched The Quest Enhancement Tool but have not found it there. What is the status of your request? Is the enhancement request the same as this post's title?
Sorry, I gave the JDE SAR number. The quest number is 12132 Greatly reduce watchlists overhead
