Workflow Triggered by PS 9.2 Process

My team is collaborating on the best way to handle various workflows.  I would like to hear if anyone has experience with workflows that are initiated by PS process triggers.  The trigger may be when you edit & save a journal entry or create & save a new project, etc…

Also, can an approval in workflow trigger a PS process.  For example, an approval in a JE Approval workflow trigger a JE to be "Marked to Post" automatically.

I was taught that the journal workflow approval takes the place of the "Mark to Post" function and that they had to be submitted to trigger the workflow.

I would be anxious to hear if anyone else has it set up differently.
