Integration Oracle Peoplesoft CMS to an external DB/information system for live data exchange

Hello everyone,
I am working on the Oracle Peoplesoft Campus Solution. We want to integrate CMS with a bank information system or database for student fee collection and posting purposes. So please, could anyone give me ideas/suggestions on how we can do it? I mean what are the ways/possibilities of doing this?
