Hello, in many areas, governments require manufacturers to include additional charges (tax) for environments on specific products. Such fees ensure financing better the recycling at the end of the products lifecycle. It applies especially on electronics, products installed for home construction, etc.
Those fees must be distinctly calculated and displayed for each Sales Order line.
A remittance/audit process is also involved in those cases.
Examples : Environmental Handling fees in Quebec, Eco contribution in France, etc.
