Time Entry and Labor AAI's

    Good Afternoon;

Looking for solution, if you guys have encountered a similar issue.

I have setup Payroll Labor AAI's (see attachment) for a situation where an employee works on a job in one company and  resides in another company . The objective is to use re-charge (Code # 2 on employee master).

Employee works in company 06600 on a job in company 06000, company 6000 will have multiple jobs. we want to create a new labor AAI for each new job and expecting the time entry to looks at the AAI's based on the account # entered in the Time Entry.

The time entry keeps ignoring the payroll AAI's setup for 06600 with the employee business unit (MCUH) and picks up value from the AAI where the employee business unit is blank or gives an error if no AAI's exist with a blank employee business unit (MCUH)

Has anyone come across this scenario and how did you resolve the issue.

    Regards,

    AD

Hi…  if the employee's Home Company is 6600 and he is
charging out to BUs (jobs) in company 6000, then the AAIs need to
be at company 6000.  By using recharge method 2 this tells me
that you want the employee's labour charge to hit both the Home BU
(AAI type 'LD') and the charge to BU (entered in the charge to BU
field in time entry) offsetting back to the Home BU.  This
requires the recharge AAIs 'RD' on the labour side and 'RC' on the
clearing side to be setup and for the employee to have a recharge
rate assigned (at the employee master or union rate tables or occ
    pay rate).

If you are simply just wanting to charge out the employee's time
using their normal hourly rate, use recharge type '1'..  and
enter the second company's BU in the Charge to (Job Location) field
    MCUO on the timecard.

Every timecard has 4 pieces of info..  Home Company, Home BU
(defaulted from employee master or EE history) and the BU where
charged and it's related company.  The 'LD' AAIs use the
charge to company to determine where to charge.

Hi – completing the bottom instruction where you have noted “no
SBL” – this would be a ‘LD’ entry – correct?  And the account
numbers that you are getting are now correct – it is just that you
do not want the SBL on that final ‘LD’ entry…?  The RC entry
simply tells the system where the ‘RD’ offset (the credit entry)
should go – so would not help in this issue.
