Has anyone has success in validating their Form and Manifest files against the IRS Schemas? If so, what editor are you using? I've tried Notepad and Altova XMLSpy but cannot decipher the results.
Thanks in advance,
El Paso County Colorado
I am using Notepad with the XML
tools. The errors are pretty horrible to figure out. If
it is an address on an employee I just search in my file for that
pattern. There are some tag issues with the BI XML the most
recent that was fixed was the birth date tag. I have a bug in
that the province name tag is incorrect. Hopefully you are
using the 2016 XML version in JD Edwards and validation from the
IRS. The manifest file also has a bug with the suffix and
middle name tags. Definitely you will have to edit your file
or wait for the bugs to be fixed.

Thank you very much for your response and tips, Dixie. I was able to overcome the error by a combination of downgrading Notepad to v6.9.2 and making sure to extract the entire zip folder instead of just opening the zip folder to grab the xsd files. We were able to finally find our errors and yes, we do know to remove the tags from the Manifest. Thanks again!
