I'm curious if any PeopleSoft HCM customers have been asked if/when they could expand Gender tracking beyond binary (Male/Female)?
I work at the University of Minnesota, which uses 4 PeopleSoft products: HCM, Campus Solutions (Student), Financials & Integration Hub (Portal). Some of our teams that track Student data have asked about enabling other values, but since Gender is shared between HR & Student, we'd need to be sure PS HCM supports this. Equally important, would be whether Federal & State reporting and our vendor interfaces allow for Gender values other than Male & Female.
So I thought I'd put this out there, in case anyone is farther along in the discovery process on this front. Please advise if so.

@Catherine Swanson - Thanks Catherine. We apply PS HCM Images in waves, and our last Image project got us through Image 37. Our next Image project got postponed, but we knew Image 41 had some gender-related changes.
It's the core Gender tracking that we're curious if anyone has altered (PERS_DATA_EFFDT.SEX or PERSONAL_DATA.SEX). That's the gender field we currently report on Fed/State and various internal reporting, and it's also a data field we share with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Obviously, if we (or Oracle) change the values in that field, it'll have repercussions, hence my question to this broader PeopleSoft user base.
