Dashboard reporting inside/outside PeopleSoft

Would like to get some info on what is the widely used internal reporting tools in PeopleSoft HR Query Manager/Kibana/Pivot grid and outside. Do you use outside Data warehouse and reporting tool? Please share your inputs since we are looking to stand-up robust reporting system but not sure of how others do it in HR world where data is sensitive and crucial to make decisions.
