Internet Explorer/ActivX replacement - Looking for a document
Good afternoon! Our company just upgraded to 9.2. With IE being taken off support, we are looking to switch our users to Microsoft Edge. Has anyone come across a good document that describes the mechanics to be followed, risks associated, etc? I’m most interested in transferring text data from old format to new, but looking for anything in-depth that help us flesh out a plan. Thanks!
@Mo-Nour You can only download the attachments but not open them.
@Drew Reilly Since E1 changed to 9.2 version, you might find some issue opening PDF or any media objects that are saved as an attachments both in IE and Chrome. However, there is a Bug list: 18022237 as well as Doc ID: 284926.1 and 2645275.1 that explains how to fix that issue. Since there is no access to ActiveX in Edge or Chrome then you have to accomplish this solution via JAS server ini setting. Unless you go back to IE explorer and setup your ActiveX in the setting. Good luck.
