General Summary:
The JDE Developer supports the business by providing technical and functional support for the ILSCO segment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with functional users to document business process requirements
Translate end-user statements and documentation into requirements documentation
Work with business applications management, development team, database administrator, systems administrator, and end-users to identify technical development requirements
Document technical data model, logic statements, database structures, object characteristics, and file system structures as required for development and future maintenance and enhancement
Develop and integrate custom software objects seamlessly into the supported application. These software objects may include modifications to supplied software or new development.
Utilize source code control infrastructure around supported application to control the development process, provide for testing, and provide for recovery of prior version software
Generate required documentation for future analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancement of developed software.
Work with users, software vendors, technical team, and support groups to debug and resolve issues
Implement and integrate packaged software applications into the business
Provide support for those implemented software applications.
Mentor other team members to foster growth, provide functional feedback and guidance
Education and Experience:
2+ years of experience developing T-SQL (SQL server)
2+ years of experience in system integration
Knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One (9.2) is essential
Knowledge of JD Edwards 9.2 Tool set
Knowledge of JD Edwards OMW
Knowledge of JD Edwards UDO functionality
Knowledge of JD Edwards applications interface
Demonstrated ability to take user requirements from concept to technical design, development, and successful implementation
Previous experience and success in managing small projects to completion
Proven team player and demonstrated ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
Work closely with technical management, technology resources and other individuals throughout the requirements, design, and implementation phases of projects
Working Conditions:
Normal- office environment
Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including occasional travel by air/auto to remote sites
Must be able to work in front of a personal computer for long periods of time
Must be able to lift documents/work materials up to 5 pounds in weight
