Address Book MLNM Field too short

For decades we have used the mailing address field#1 for the overflow of the mailing name. (payable field for checks). IT effects AB records who have a name that was too long for the 40 character field. This has become a problem as we are creating a new disbursement file to send to the bank with new specs. We may now begin using the remark field on Who's Who for overflow. Wondering what others are using for the workaround. There is an enhancement request bug to increate this field, #Bug 23106858 created in 2016.
