Automate Batch Journal Entry Processing
Has anyone Automated their Batch Journal Entry Processing ? Did you use orchestrater or other tools?
If anyone has any references I would appreciate it?
Beth Outtrim is a Financials SIG board member, and she shared with with board after the meeting (was supposed to be included with the slides, but was accidently omitted).
@Chantal Aubin-Rollier We are in process of rolling out ADEX and accelerator created by ACBM Solutions to allow for the upload kick off of an orchestration from excel. He has the journal entry orchestration prebuilt. It uploads the journal entry and sends back to the excel file the document # created.
Larry Furino at ACBM solutions.com is the person to talk to for a demo.
Can be used with other orchestrations also where data in excel is used to do something in JDE.
@Chantal Aubin-Rollier I don't have any person experience with this, but will add this question to the Soapbox discussion section during the JD Edwards Financials SIG call in January. Hopefully someone will have something interesting for you :)
@Chantal Aubin-Rollier Sorry, I thought this was a PeopleSoft question.

e several sources of journals that come in and are loaded in batch. Most via the jgen_acct_entry table with a couple different app engines that pick up the files.
We are using Batch Uploads from a .csv or .txt file, all the uploads are completed by a user logging into JDE and using a Batch Upload process, updating processing options to pick up th eappropriate file from a network drive.
Wondering how others are automating this functionality.
@Chantal Aubin-Rollier Can you be more specific? We have several sources of journals that come in and are loaded in batch. Most via the jgen_acct_entry table with a couple different app engines that pick up the files.
