Lift and Shift to OCI

Hello:
We are planning to move our PeopleSoft applications (HCM, FSCM and IH) from the Private cloud (hosted by our MSP) to the OCI by performing "Lift and Shift". The MSP is planning to do it using some custom scripts and it seems like using IaaS capabilities of OCI. We have been told that there will be a minimal impact for the end user community and as a Solution Architect, I am skeptical about this approach.
I'd like to know if anyone has done a "left and shift" of their PeopleSoft ERP from in-house infrastructure to OCI. I'd like to know the "lessons learned" from this kind of move and what was the impact on performance, interfaces and security.
