EEO-1 Component 2 Report Uses Wrong Pay Bands When Year End ID Uses Tax ID Summarization

We are testing the new EEO-1 Component 2 report (R058515A), and we think we found a bug that puts employees into the wrong pay bands when the processing options specify a Year End ID that uses Tax ID Summarization.

I entered an SR with Oracle but thought I should post it here as well to warn others since the EEO-1 Component 2 information must be uploaded and certified by the end of September.

The problem with the report is that it is reading all of the W-2 records from F07830 rather than just the records where W2RecordType = 'P' (primary).

When you use Tax ID Summarization on your Year End ID, pay information is recorded in secondary records in F07830 under the companies where the pay was earned, and the total pay for the employee is recorded under 1 company in a primary record. The report is adding the information from the primary and secondary records, so it is doubling the pay for some employees and recording them in the wrong pay bands.

It looks like the bug can be fixed by changing 1 line of code in R058515A (the Select statement on F07830).

To work around the problem without fixing the bug, you can create a new Year End ID that does not use Tax ID Summarization.

ESU JN17308 was released today to fix this.

Oracle created bug 30245877 but then canceled it to combine it with bug 30157381 (Employee Under Wrong Pay Band When W-2C is Present).
