Agile Methods on JDE Projects
Good afternoon JDE PM SIG members. Do any of you use agile methodologies on your JDE projects? If so, how are you using it? On technical/development aspects? Or incorporating agile components into other areas of the project (e.g. stand-up style meetings)?
@Stuart Johnson Thanks for the response Stuart! I've used agile practices primarily on non-JDE projects, however we're currently using an iterative delivery style on a large effort. It seems to be paying off.
@Peggy Christensen we have used “Pure” agile for UX One projects where customers have looked for our team to deliver UXOne, Pages, Personalisations, Notifications, Orchestrations. These were customers who upgraded to 9.2 fairly early but then did not adopt UX at the time of upgrade and didn’t have in house skills to deliver. The agile approach fits very well with such projects and new enables real value to be seen early on in the process and then the delivered UX frameworks can be tweaked and enhanced throughout the Project.
We have also used Agile successfully within a larger upgrade or implementation project when configuring/retrofitting development in discrete sprints of work with a wider upgrade program of work.
