UDO Slowliness - Form Personalization

Hi,
I am just wondering if it is normal that screens with personalized forms are slow? We are on TR 9.2.2.1.
Example: P48013 opens in approximately 1 second without personalization. The same version with personalization takes about 10 seconds to open. I understand there is additional layer of rendering, etc. Still it seems slow.
Good old Custom Grids and Saved Queries are fine. No noticeable overhead.
I am wondering about form personalization and form extensions. The purpose of both is to make screens easier to use. But if it means waiting 10 seconds every time the screen pops up - maybe it is not as good as it sounded. Maybe we just need to upgrade to a most recent TR... ? Or maybe we can tweak something in our environment... ? What do others see?
