Adding beneficiaries
We are going through the process of adding dependents and beneficiaries to our plans, however we did not have the plans set to require dependents or beneficiaries previously so now we are getting an error.
It is my understanding that in order to change the plan to require dependents or beneficiaries we would need to un-enroll everyone, change the plan and then re-enroll everyone. Is that correct, or is there a way to change a plan without having to un-enroll and re-enroll?
@Holee Nunnenkamp You are correct. Employees must be un-enrolled prior to making any of these changes to the plans. Once you've made the changes, you will need to re-enroll everyone. We time our changes with the end of our plan year for that exact purpose.
